If you've never been to Dock5, then this summer is definitely the time to go.
New features, a new lineup, and plenty of good vibes await you here in Düren at one of the coolest wakeboarding facilities in Germany, in my opinion.
In fairness, I have to say: I learned to wakeboard here. For two years, Dock5 was my home base before I even saw any other facilities in Germany. So I'm not entirely unbiased. Dock5 definitely has home advantage with me.
Parking
There is a huge parking lot directly in front of the facility. You can park there all day for 3 Euros. If you use EasyPark, you can conveniently pay via the app.
Reception and Shop
If it's your first time at Dock5, you'll be greeted by the lovely Anette (or other friendly staff members).
If you don't have your own equipment yet or have forgotten something at home, you can rent everything: wetsuit, helmet, vest, board. In the shop, you'll also find wakeboarding items and boards from brands like Goodboards or Liquid Force.
Changing Rooms and Restrooms
From the reception, you head out of the shop to the changing rooms and restrooms. What gives the facility a special charm are the shipping containers in which the changing rooms are built.

Special Tip: Bring your own lock. Then you can use the lockers for free.
There are also showers. However, those who prefer warm showers have to pay a small fee.
Atmosphere
Dock5 is located in a rural area on a swimming lake, surrounded by a small forest and with many beach sections. For me, the facility always feels a bit like a holiday. The facility is excellently maintained and all riders here are very relaxed.
Facility
The facility was first put into operation in 2018 and offers pure riding fun with a 6-mast cable park and 750 meters (full lap). From beginners to pros, everyone will definitely find a cool feature here.

Check out the full feature lineup in the video below.
The lift starts to the right, counter-clockwise. The lift is set higher than at other facilities, and for me, the pull feels significantly stronger (perhaps it's just my imagination).
If you fall into the water, you don't have to panic about having to swim for a long time. The only critical spot is at the other end of the facility. Don't do any wild tricks here, otherwise, you'll be swimming a bit longer.
Otherwise, there's a return jetty in the lake that covers almost half of the facility. On the other side, special doormats have been laid out as a path through the forest.
Before you head out here, it's worth taking a moment to calm down and get focused. Especially at a facility like Dock5, with strong pull and many features, you don't want to just really get into it after three rounds. For this, I use my pre-session ritual with the ON.SYNC Performance Shot Focus before intensive sessions.
Outside of public operating hours, you can also rent the cable. If you want to practice undisturbed with a group or shoot some tricks, this is a great option.
There is also a 2-mast cable park where beginners can practice in peace. It has a carrier and is 150 meters long.
There are several beach sections by the lake where you can relax after a session. At a larger beach section, you can also play volleyball.

Further back, on a large meadow, you can camp. A barbecue area is, of course, also included.

Feature Lineup
This is the feature lineup of Dock5 (as of April 18, 2026).
Bistro and Restaurant
At Sonnenralle (bistro), there are cold and hot drinks and delicious snacks, as well as a sun terrace from which you can overlook the entire lake.

Events: If you have something to celebrate
Do you have a birthday or a company party or any other occasion to celebrate and would you like to combine it with wakeboarding or simply enjoy a great atmosphere? Then you can do that here at Dock5. The sun terrace can be rented at any time.
Contest at Dock5
Once a year, the ANDOCKEN event takes place here at Dock5, organized by Heimathafen e.V., of which many riders at Dock5 are members. The contest attracts many riders from surrounding countries every year and is always a highlight close to the start of the season.
Overall Conclusion
For me, Dock5 is one of the best wakeboarding facilities in Germany.
Beautiful facility. Friendly people. Strong pull. Good features. Relaxed atmosphere.
You definitely have to have been here. It's not for nothing that Dock5 is my favorite facility. Feel free to find out more directly at Dock5.
However, dog owners are unfortunately not allowed to bring their loyal friends.
